Studio
A small studio, on purpose.
Nocturn is led by Yiğit Ertürk, a product engineer who designs, builds and operates every project end to end. No account managers, no hand-offs — the person you talk to is the person writing the code.
Why small
Most software projects fail in the gaps: between designer and developer, between developer and whoever runs the servers, between the agency and the client’s own team. We close those gaps by owning the whole path.
It is also why most of the work on this site is our own products. Running them is where we test the patterns we later bring to client projects — database-enforced rules, checks on every release, and pages that earn search traffic without a content team. It keeps us honest about what software costs to run for years, not weeks.
Principles
Five habits that show up in every project.
- 01
Rules belong in the database
If a constraint matters — money balancing, history not changing, one customer never seeing another’s data — it is enforced where the data lives, not only in application code that a later change can reopen.
- 02
Every deploy gets checked
Health, API contract and SEO checks run around each release. When a check fails after a deploy, the previous build comes back automatically.
- 03
Say what is not done
Roadmap items are labelled as roadmap. A demo never pretends an integration exists, and a sales page never lists a feature that only works in a slide.
- 04
Boring tools, used carefully
Widely known technology that is easy to hire for and easy to hand over. The interesting part should be your product, not our stack.
- 05
Leave it maintainable
Tests, a short runbook and readable code come with every project, so another team can take over whenever you want them to.
